About Us
Oliver qualified as a solicitor in 1998 after completing his training at Bates, Wells and Braithwaite in London where he worked as a solicitor in the Media and Entertainment Department, advising on contractual and copyright matters. In 2000 Oliver left Bates, Wells to become Commercial Director of a newly formed hi-tech design company, AKA Kiosks, and Legal Director of the AKA Group.
Oliver returned to private practice in 2002 and worked in the Company Commercial department of Kester Cunningham John (in their Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge offices). The experience that Oliver had gained running a start-up business gave him a real understanding of the commercial issues and pressures facing small business owners. Oliver quickly established a reputation for forging good relations with clients and providing them with clear, practical, commercial advice.
In the 3 years prior to the formation of Dixon Phillips, Oliver ran his own practice advising a variety of SMEs in London and East Anglia on contractual and company law issues. He has developed a specialist reputation for advising on shareholders agreements and arrangements.
Oliver lives in Cambridge with his wife, Kelly and daughter, India. He enjoys football, cricket, eating out, music, reading and the cinema.
